How does
YourPace
work?
YourPace aims to bring together local race organizers, brands, community leaders, and other stakeholders who share our vision of creating inclusive running experiences that are accessible to everyone
Who are we
working for?
Target Audience: Members of Disadvantaged Groups
We are dedicated to supporting running events which gather people from diverse backgrounds and physical abilities. Our focus is especially keen on the members of disadvantaged groups
Key Collaborators: Local Event Organizers
At each location, we engage people by providing regular training activities and participation in races, for this, we seek local partners who are already established in the area and can assist us with the organization
Main Beneficiaries: Communities
Through strategic partnerships, we foster an inclusive environment within local communities where each participant is supported in the movement at their own pace, rather than on individual success
How do
we work?
Our work mechanism unfolds through a systematic approach:
YourPace acts as a resource centre for local running initiatives around the world, providing financial, organizational, informational and media support
Scouting projects
Our initial step involves actively seeking running projects and collaborating with local race organizers that align with our criteria
Discovering social issues
We immerse ourselves in the local community to identify social issues and disadvantaged groups that face barriers to sports. Our aim is to develop initiatives that support and engage these individuals in running
Developing event support
We develop a concept for an event or training program that enhances accessibility within the local community. Our goal is to make these events bigger, safer, more popular, affordable and inclusive
Implementing planned initiatives
Together with local organizers we implement planned initiatives, with a focus on engaging new participants from disadvantaged groups
Supporting improvement
At the end, we gather feedback, make suggestions for future events, and plan ongoing support for the communities we help build
Project
selection
criteria
We base our projects in the same countries and regions where inDrive operates
The project must involve a minimum of 400 people in regular sports activities and at least 200 new participants in races who previously lacked such opportunities.
Participation in races and projects is offered free of charge for our target groups.
Our regular programs are designed to run for at least three months, to sustain joint activities for long-lasting impact.
All our programs are structured without specific targets for results, allowing everyone to progress at their own pace.
We actively seek new participants from the most disadvantaged groups within the community, including:
Our commitment to inclusive running
We work towards eliminating injustice by focusing on four main areas:
Ensuring equal access
Providing free access to training, and removing payment barriers for slots
Covering the costs associated with event security and medical support
Creating fair opportunities
Financial assistance for organizing training programs and races tailored for new participant categories
Procuring necessary equipment and amenities
Conducting educational programs aimed at empowering local communities
Supporting development
Providing our expertise and guidance to ensure the successful planning and execution of running events
Helping to develop the infrastructure of the area where the race is held
Raising awareness
Offering PR support for the events, as well as promoting ongoing programs and our project as a whole. Additionally, we seek to heighten public awareness about the accessibility of running and the opportunity to become part of the community
